The Database
- Pulse Wave Database: Simulated arterial pulse waves at a range of common measurement sites for 4,374 virtual subjects aged 25-75 years. This database is designed to be representative of a sample of healthy adults. It is intended to be used for developing pulse wave analysis algorithms and gaining insights into haemodynamics.
Other Datasets of Simulated Pulse Waves
The following datasets are currently available:
- Preliminary Pulse Wave Database: Simulated arterial pulse waves from 258 virtual subjects aged from 25 to 75 years old. This is a preliminary version of the dataset, and cannot be considered to be representative of a sample of healthy adults. Nonetheless, it has proved helpful for developing pulse wave analysis algorithms and for gaining insight into arterial haemodynamics.
- Mental Stress Pulse Wave Database: Simulated arterial pulse waves from virtual subjects simulated to mimic different levels of mental stress.
In Vivo Datasets
The following publicly available datasets also contain arterial pulse waves, and may be of interest:
- Vortal Dataset: Simultaneous photoplethysmogram (PPG), electrocardiogram (ECG), and breathing signals acquired from young and elderly adults whilst at rest, and from young adults before and after intense exercise.
