Abstract

The presentation considers: (i) The development of wearables from the 1960s onwards; (ii) Potential clinical applications of wearables, including detecting atrial fibrillation and tracking infectious disease; and (iii) Next steps to ensure wearables can be used to inform clinical decisions both safely and robustly.
